Gujiya is a popular North Indian sweet of a crisp, flaky pastry filled with a sweet khoya and dry fruits stuffing. In this post, I am sharing both fried and baked version of making gujiya.

Here is the best “Ghujiya” recipe we have found until now. This will be smell and look delicious.

Ingredients of Ghujiya

  1. Take 2 cups of maida.
  2. Take 1 tablespoon of ghee.
  3. It’s 250 gms of coconut.
  4. Prepare 1 bowl of powdered sugar.
  5. It’s 1 bowl of Chopped dry fruits.
  6. It’s as required of Water to grease.
  7. Make ready as required of Oil for frying.

These are filled inside with a mixture of Mawa or Khoya (Milk solids) and Nuts.These are Deep fried on medium to low heat till golden and crisp.The recipe of filling can vary from region to region.Baked Gujiyas are a sweet tempting delight for all.

Ghujiya step by step

  1. Knead dough..
  2. Take Kadhai put coconut and saute little let it cool add sugar and dry fruits..
  3. Take a small portion and make small round like roti..
  4. Apply water on it's corner and fill the coconut mix in it and close it and fold it's corner..
  5. Fry it in oil on medium flame..
  6. Gujiya is ready to serve..
