Dahi Vada Dahi Bhalla Chaat instructions

  1. Take the dals in a large bowl and wash them and soak both dals overnight and atleast for 4 hours..
  2. Coarsely grind the soaked daals along with green chilli, ginger, hing and salt.
  3. Add little water if needed. The batter should be thick and dropping consistency..
  4. Heat oil in a wok or kadhai. Add 1 tbsp warm oil to the batter. Whisk the batter vigorously..

  9. Now take each vada and gently press in between of yours palms to remove excess water..
  10. Assemble the dahi vada:- whisk the yogurt and season with sugar and some water or milk to get right consistency..
  11. Place the vada's in a bowl. Pour the yogurt over them. Drop the tamarind chutney and mint coriander chutney over them..
  12. Sprinkle the roasted cumin powder, red chilli powder. Garnish with coriander leaves, pomegranate seeds..
