Ingredients of Gosht/ Mutton Karahi
- Make ready 1/2 kg of Mutton.
- It’s 2 of Onions sliced.
- It’s 1 of Tomato chopped.
- You need 1/2 cup of Tomato puree.
- It’s 2 tbsp of Ginger garlic paste.
- You need 3 tbsp of Oil.
- You need 2-3 of Green Chillies slit.
- You need 1/4 cup of chopped Coriander leaves.
- Make ready 1/2 tsp of Turmeric.
- Make ready 2 tbsp of Coriander powder.
- It’s 1 tsp of Pepper.
- You need 1 tsp of garam Masala powder.
- It’s to taste of Salt.
- It’s of For Karahi Masala.
- It’s 1 tbsp of Cumin seeds.
- You need 1/2 tsp of Fennel Seeds.
- You need 2-3 of dry Red Chilli.
- Prepare 2 of Cardamom.
- It’s 2 of Cloves.
- It’s 1/2 inch of Cinnamon.
- Take 1/2 tsp of Turmeric.
- Prepare 1 tbsp of kasuri Methi.
- Take 1 tbsp of Peppercorns.
Your Should Try Mutton Karahe At Home And Must Share Your Experience About Mutton.Kadhai Gosht or Karahi Gosht is a Mughlai dish with it's flavourful spicy gravy is a Unique tasty recipe cooked using various spices and the Aroma it gives.Mutton karahi, also known as mutton kadai, is one of the popular Pakistani and a North-Indian dish, noted cox of its spicy taste!It is best served with hot tandoori or roghni naan & salad.
Gosht/ Mutton Karahi step by step
- Dry roast the Karahi spices until aromat and grind to powder. Keep it aside.
- Pressure cook mutton with 1/2 cup water, coriander powder and salt for 2 whistles. Once steam releases naturally, keep mutton and stock seperately.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan, add 1 tbsp karahi masala, mutton stock with tomato puree and cook until it starts thickening. Keep it aside.
- In same pan, heat remaining oil, add onion, ginger garlic paste and green chillies. Saute until onions are tender.
- Add pepper powder, 1 tbsp karahi masala, garam masala, turmeric salt and tomatoes. Saute until tomatoes are soft.
- Now add mutton with tomato puree gravy. Stir well. Cook on low heat for 15 minutes. Switch off. Garnish with 1/2 tbsp Karahi masala, coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or naan. If any excess masala is left, store in airtight container for future use.
