Ingredients of Vegetable Fried Idli
- Prepare of For Idli.
- You need 1 packet of Sooji.
- It’s As needed of Water.
- Make ready as required of Eno.
- Make ready as per taste of Salt.
- It’s of For frying vegetable.
- Make ready 1-2 of Carrot grated.
- You need 1-2 of capsicum.
- Make ready 3-4 of onions.
- It’s 3-4 of Tomato.
- Prepare 1/2 of cabbage (grated).
- You need 1/2 tbsp of Tomatao Sauce.
- Prepare 1 tsp of Vinegar.
- It’s 1 tsp of Mustard seeds.
- You need 8 of Curry Leaves.
- Take As required of Red mirchi powder(optional).
- You need 1 tsp of Haldi.
- Prepare As required of Oil.
- It’s as required of Grated coconut (for Garnish).

Vegetable Fried Idli step by step
- To make idli - take sooji in a bowl. Add water enough to have thick consistency. Add salt.let it rest for 15-20 mins..
- Add water to idli paste for proper consistency as the sooji soaks it after 20 mins. Take the idli stand. Grease the idli plates with oil. Add water to the stand.Add eno to the paste.Mix well. Put a spoon of paste on the idli plates.Keep it in the stand.Cover with the lid.let it cook..
- Remove the lid after 5-6 mins.pierce with a knife and check if it comes out clean.let the idli cool.scoop it out.keep aside. Repeat the step for the entire paste..
- Fired vegetable - Take a kadai.Add oil.when warm add mustard seeds.Add curry leaves,onion,salt,haldi powder.Give a nice mix.Cook till onion turns golden brown..
- Then add Tomato,Cabbage and capsicum. Cover with a lid. Cook for 5-6 mins till vegetables are soft.Add tomato ketchup,vinegar.Give a nice mix..
- Cut the idli into two or you can take as it is.add them to the kadai.Give a nice mix.Cover with a lid so that the flavours are well incorporated.Remove the lid mix well..
- Take the idli in a serving bowl. Garnish with grated coconut.Serve Hot..
