Sooji ka halwa was made in home whenever we wanted to have something sweet. The creamiest Coconut Kesar Halwa or Coconut Sheera/Siro is perfect for Indian festivals such as Diwali.

Ingredients of Sooji Nariyal Ka Qatli Halwi

  1. Prepare 1 of paao sooji.
  2. Make ready 1/2 cup of ghee.
  3. Take 4 of cardimom.
  4. Prepare 1 cup of +1/4th cup sugar.
  5. Prepare 1/2 cup of water.
  6. Make ready 1 cup of dry milk powder.
  7. Make ready 1/2 cup of desicated coconut.
  8. Make ready 5 tbsp of almond, coconut and resin.

In a separate pan warm up the ghee on medium high and add cardamom seeds and semolina (sooji) in it.Keep on stirring it till the semolina turns a bit darker or golder brown.Note u can not leave the semolina unattended now since it can stick in the pan & burn up easily. the recipe for suji ka halwa is very similar with the texture to popular rava kesari. however the recipe procedure and taste are completely different and more importantly the purpose is completely different. sooji halwa is prepared mainly with the combination of water and milk and hence it gets the creamy.Sooji ka halwa or sheera are often made for an auspicious occasion or a pooja.

  1. Take a pan and add in it water & sugar to make syrup, it should be thick enough almost around 3 taar. & cut all dry fruits in small pieces..
  2. Take a wok and add cardimom, ghee & sooji then bonify it on low heat for about 10-15 mins. When you feel aroma add dry milk powder & desicated coconut and bonify for 2mins..
  3. In sooji add that hot syrup and mix it immediately with spoon, and take this out on a greased pan and spread it all over it, add all dry fruits and cut it into pieces, after it gets down to room temperature take these pieces out and serve..
