- Prepare 1 tsp of garlic powder or grated garlic.
- Prepare of I tsp lemon squeeze.
- Make ready 2 tsp of salt.
- Take Half of bunch coriander leaves(dania).
- Prepare 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder.
- Prepare 1/4 tsp of garam masala powder (pilao masala).
- Make ready 2 tbsp of cooking oil.
- It’s 2 of and 1/2 glasses of water.

- Slice the onion into rings. Chop coriander and peel and cut potato in cubes. Chop tomato in small cubes too. Soak the peas in water.
- Soak the rice in water and clean it.
- Take a sufuria, put on medium heat, put the mustard seeds in it when oil is heated and immediately put the onion and mix. Add in the garlic and mix..
- When onion is almost pink in colour, add in the tomato. Mix and then add in the other vegetables including the dania..
- Add in all the spices and mix. Now put half cup water and cover.
- After 2 mins, open the lid and mix again. Now add in the rest of the water(2 glasses). Mix and let it come to boil.
- When just boils, put the clean drained rice in it. Mix well. Let this cook for 4 minutes.
- Now reduce heat and cover again. After 2-3 minutes,switch off the heat. Let it set for 2 minutes before serving hot with pickle or kachumbari or yogurt..
