Ingredients of Afghan Rice

  1. You need 1 cup of rice.
  2. Make ready 1 1/2 cups of water or broth.
  3. You need 1 tbsp of finely chopped onion.
  4. Make ready 2 of bay leaves.
  5. Make ready 4 of green cardamoms.
  6. Prepare 1/2 of cinnamon stick.
  7. Prepare 1 tbsp of raisins.
  8. Take 1/4 cup of almonds.
  9. It’s 1/4 cup of cashews.
  10. Take 2 tbsp of cooking oil or olive.

  1. On a medium low heat stove, using a small pan, heat the oil and put the bay leaf, cinnamon stick and cardamom in. Cook for about 1 minute..
