Ingredients of Black Peppered Lamb with Gourd -Louki Gosht
- Take 1 kg of Lamb with bones or boneless.
- Take 2 of medium sized Gourd.
- You need of Whole Spices.
- Take 1 tea spoon of black whole pepper.
- Prepare 1 tea spoon of shah zeera.
- You need of few pieces of cinnamon sticks.
- Make ready 1 piece of star anise.
- It’s 1 piece of big black cardamom.
- Prepare 3 of bay leaves.
- Make ready 1 tea spoon of Coriander seeds.
- You need 5 of green cardamom.
- It’s 4 of cloves.
- Take of Other ingredients.
- You need 1 tea spoon of Garam masala.
- You need 1 tea spoon of coriander powder.
- Prepare 1 tea spoon of zeera powder.
- Prepare 3 of tea spoons black pepper powder.
- It’s 2 of tea spoons garlic ginger paste.
- It’s 2 of tea spoons salt.
- Take 1 tea spoon of turmeric powder.
- Take 4 table spoon of cooking oil.
- It’s of fresh coriander leaves for garnishing.
- You need 2 of big sized onions chopped thin long ways.
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.Kosher salt and black pepper: If using fine salt, you should reduce the amount you use, or the dish could end up too salty.Intensely flavorful, pan fried lamb chops require minimal effort to taste amazing.Simply season with salt, pepper, garlic and rosemary, then quickly pan fry.
Black Peppered Lamb with Gourd -Louki Gosht instructions
- Heat the oil in the frying pan.
- Add the chopped onions and all the whole spices and fry the onions until crisp and brown.
- Add the lamb and fry until you can"t see any red meat.
- Add turmeric powder, black pepper powder, zeera powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and saute well at this stage.
- Once you have suated that for 5 minutes add the garlic ginger paste and saute for 2 minutes.
- Now add salt and stir well for 5 minutes.
- Add a cup of water and let it boil then simmer it for 20 minutes.
- Now add the chopped gourd and simmer it for another 15 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve it with hot chapati or white rice.
