Ingredients of Cholay Salan
- Prepare 1 1/4 cup of Cholay (chickpeas soaked overnight or at least 2 hour's.
- Make ready 2 of Onion Medium size sliced.
- You need 2 of Tomatoes Medium size chopped.
- It’s 1 tbsp of Ginger Garlic paste.
- You need 1 tsp of Red chilli powder.
- You need 1 tsp of Black pepper.
- Prepare 1 tsp of cumin seeds powder.
- You need 2 tsp of coriander powder.
- Take 1 tsp of Turmeric powder.
- Take of Salt as per test.
- Take 1 tsp of All spice's powder.
- Take 1 cup of yoghurt.
- It’s 1 cup of Oil.
- You need 4-5 cups of water.
- Take of Ginger,Green chillies, coriander Leaf for garnishing.
Cholay Salan instructions
- Wash soaked chickpeas thrice..
- In a pot add chickpeas,onion sliced,tomatoes Sliced, ginger garlic paste and all the spices except salt and All spice's powder..
- Add water about 4 to 5 cups Cook high flame. when it become boil..
- Turn the flame very low and cover it and let it cook for 1 or 1½ hrs or until the chickpeas done (if you r using pressure cooker it will take just half an hour or less).
- When chickpeas are done add oil, yoghurt and gram masla powder mix and bhoonofy it on high flame until oil separate..
- Add 1 glass of water and bring it to boil. check the gravy you want and turn the stove off..
- Garnish with green chilies and fresh coriander
Serve with boiled rice or roti…..
