Ingredients of Spinach Dal
- You need 1 bunch of Spinach leaves finely chopped.
- You need 1 Cup of tuar dal.
- Make ready 2 of big onions finely chopped.
- Take 2 tbsp of ginger garlic green chilli paste.
- Prepare 2 of tomatoes finely chopped.
- Make ready 1 tsp of Cumin Seeds.
- Take 1 tsp of red chilli powder.
- It’s 1 tsp of turmeric powder.
- Make ready 1 tbsp of ghee.
- Make ready as needed of oil.
- Take as needed of water.
- Make ready to taste of salt.
Spinach Dal step by step
- Firstly, thoroughly wash and chop all the veggies - spinach leaves, tomatoes, onions and ginger garlic green chillis and keep aside..
- Then heat oil in a pressure cooker, add cumin seeds let it crackle now add chopped ginger garlic green chilli paste, saute for a minute, add chopped onions and saute till onions turn golden brown, now add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder and red chili powder, saute till tomatoes are soft and mushy and oil separates from sides..
- Now add chopped Spinach leaves and saute for 2-3 mins..
- Finally add washed toor dal and salt. Cover the lid of the pressure cooker and take 6 whistles..
- While serving add clarified butter or ghee from above..
- Garma garam tasty, healthy Spinach Dal is ready to serve with steamed rice..
