Ingredients of Masala chole

  1. Take of FOR COOKING CHOLE.
  2. Prepare 1 cup of chole.
  3. Prepare 1 of tea bag.
  4. Take 2 pieces of dry amla.
  5. It’s of FOR GRAVY.
  6. Make ready 2 tbsp of oil.
  7. Prepare 2 of cloves.
  8. It’s 1 of green cardamom.
  9. You need 1 and 1/2 tbsp of Ginger garlic paste.
  10. It’s 1 cup of chopped onion.
  11. You need 1-2 of chopped green chilli.
  12. It’s 1 cup of chopped tomato.
  13. Take To taste of Salt according.
  14. You need 1/2 tbsp of red chilli powder.
  15. Take 1/4 tbsp of turmeric powder.
  16. Prepare 1 tbsp of kasuri mathi.
  17. Prepare 1/2 tbsp of amchur powder.
  18. Make ready 2 tbsp of ready made Chole masala.

I took the opportunity and made my version of Indian Chole Masala.What is chole its called garbanzo beans.Chole Masala is an Indian food recipe (Punjab).Chole, a Punjabi dish, is regularly cooked in my kitchen.

Masala chole instructions

  1. Rinse chole in a lot of water.soak them overnight in water.
  2. Next morning, rinse them and add to a pressure cooker along with water.
  3. Add tea bag and amla pieces in it.
  4. Pressure cook for 5-10 minutes on medium gas.
  5. Add oil in a hot pan, add cloves And cardamom.
  6. When they begin to crackles​ add Ginger garlic paste and salt.
  7. Then add chopped onion, green chilli and fry to get golden to light brown.
  8. Next add tomato, turmeric, salt and cook it.
  9. Now add Chole masala and red chilli powder.
  10. Fry it again for 1 to 2 minutes.
  11. Add pressure cooked chole And fresh water.
  12. Mix properly And add more water if u need.
  13. Cover and simmer on low flame for 15 to 20 minutes.
  14. When the gravy thickens add amchur powder And kasuri methi.
  15. Now Serve chole with rice, Puri or bhature.
