Ingredients of Lilava,Green Moong Dal khichdi

  1. Prepare 1/4 cup of rice.
  2. Make ready 2 tbsp of green Moog dal.
  3. Take 1/4 cup of Lilva (tuver Dana).
  4. It’s 1/4 cup of finely chopped spring onion.
  5. Prepare 2 tbsp of green garlic finely chopped.
  6. It’s 1/4 cup of finely chopped coriander.
  7. Take 8-10 of Curry leaves.
  8. You need 1tbsp of saunf.
  9. Take 1tbsp of Dhaniya jeera powder.
  10. Take to taste of Salt.
  11. Take 1/2 tsp of Hing.
  12. Prepare 1 of green chilli finely chopped.
  13. You need 1 of green tomato finely chopped.
  14. You need 2 tbsp of ghee.
  15. Make ready 1/4 of grated coconut.

You can cook the kichadi in the pressure cooker or in a saucepan.Green Moong dal khichdi is a simple one pot dish of whole green gram dal and rice.Whole green gram legume is rich in proteins and fiber and when Khichdi is wholesome and nutritious.This dish can be served with Papad / Raitha.

  1. Soak rice and dal for 1/2 hour..
  2. Heat pan pour 2 tbsp ghee.when ghee melts add saunf,green chilli,curry leaves,garlic,onion leaves,hing & saute for a while.
  3. Add lilava,green tomato,rice,dal salt, dhaniya jeera powder,grated coconut,chopped coriander and stir well.
  4. Add 2 Cups water and cook on slow flame.
  5. Tasty khichdi is ready.Serve hot khichdi with Green garlic Papad & Spring onion.
