  1. Take the measured Dal and wash it well and soak in water for 20 minutes.

  5. Once it gets cooked take a tadka pan put ghee when hot add the mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, fennel seeds, after it splutters, add in the asafoetida powder, and dry red chillies..
  6. Now pour this tadka on the cooked dal..
  7. Then squeeze lemon juice and add finely chopped coriander leaves in the Dal and mix well..
  8. Serve hot with steamed rice and rotis..
