Ingredients of Panchmel tadkewali dal Fry

  1. Take 2 cups of Tur dal.
  2. You need 1 tbsp of masoor dal.
  3. It’s 1 tbsp of Chana dal.
  4. Make ready 1 tbsp of Moong Dal.
  5. It’s 1 tbsp of Urad dal.
  6. It’s 1-1/2 cup of chopped onions.
  7. Prepare 1/2 cup of chopped tomatoes.
  8. You need 2 tsp of ginger garlic paste.
  9. You need 3-4 of green chillies.
  10. It’s 1 tsp of turmeric powder.
  11. Make ready 3 tsp of kashmiri red chilli powder.
  12. Prepare 2 tsp of dhaniya jeera powder.
  13. You need to taste of Salt.
  14. You need 2 tsp of garam masala.
  15. You need leaves of Few curry.
  16. You need 1 tbsp of chopped coriander leaves.
  17. It’s 3 of cloves.
  18. Prepare 3 of black pepper.
  19. It’s 1 of cinnamon stick.
  20. Make ready 2 tsp of dal masala made at home.
  21. Prepare 2 tbsp of ghee.
  22. Take 2 tsp of jeera.
  23. Make ready 1 tsp of hing.

Along with the five types of lentils, the tadka of ghee, onions, garlic, ginger, dry red chillies, green chillies makes Panchmel Dal more inviting!Add onion, green chillies, garlic and ginger and fry until onions are brown.Now add tomatoes, and cook till tomatoes become soft.Add boiled dal, and mix well, add some hot water if the dal is too thick to get desired consistency.

Panchmel tadkewali dal Fry step by step

  1. Boil the dal in pressure cooker.with salt, turmeric powder.
  2. Chop the onions, tomatoes. Make a paste of ginger - garlic.
  3. Now take a kadai, heat ghee add jeera, hing, cloves, black pepper, cinnamon stick. Add the curry leaves, Let it all crackle..
  4. Now add the chopped onions and saute, then add ginger garlic paste green chillies and cook till oil separates. Then add the chopped tomatoes. Cook till tomatoes are soft..
  5. Add all the dry masalas and cover and cook for sometime. Once the oil separates, add the dal with reqd Qty of water. Let it boil..
  6. Now again take little ghee, and season it with kashmiri red chilli powder. Spread over the dal..
  7. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with Indian bread or pav along with papad..
